What's needed for a venue to work for an UnCon

A good venue for an UnCon includes:

  • a room with capacity of 30-50
  • chairs, no tables
  • large TV or projector with an HDMI or USB-C connector
  • a small table or lectern for speakers
  • time available from 9:30 to 4:30, event starts at 10:00, but there is always some setup
  • optimally, a room that is sound isolated and lights can be controlled
  • location near good spots for lunch
  • good to have: venue allows bringing in food/snacks/drinks
